This vital process gathered crucial data across six key areas: residents attitudes towards litter and community image, existing litter prevention programs, community and beautification leaders, current waste and recycling policies, past and ongoing community revitalization efforts, and active volunteer groups.
Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful will provide education and training to program participants on such topics related to the impact of litter on roadways, litter prevention, waste management and recycling, civic engagement and related public policy, volunteer management, and social media marketing.
On May 8, the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership announced communities across the region held cleanup events to celebrate EarthDay in April where more than 850 volunteers collected 81,261 pounds of litter and trash from parks, trails and communities along the Susquehanna River.
The Pennsylvania Resources Council is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Zero Waste Events Coordinator in Western Pennsylvania.
