On March 13, the ClearWater Conservancy announced individuals, families, and groups are invited to register for the 29th annual Watershed Cleanup Day and help at more than 50 cleanup sites around Centre County. The event will be held during EarthDay weekend on Saturday, April 12 from 8:00 a.m.

On EarthDay Weekend April 20, ClearWater Conservancy , Centre County Refuse and Recycling Authority , and the Spring Creek Watershed MS4 Partnership hosted the 28th Annual Watershed Cleanup Day, and it was a huge success! Individuals, families, and groups came together to clean up Centre County and keep watersheds healthy.

With EarthDay just around the corner on April 22, Pennsylvania American Water announced it would plant a tree for each customer who commits to going paperless during the month of April. All of the trees planted as result of this campaign will be planted in communities served by Pennsylvania American Water.
They used their resources, skills, and influence to preserve Pennsylvania’s natural beauty, fight billboards, and prevent litter. They did this though the 1940s, ’50s, and ’60s, long before the first EarthDay.
