The subsequent rise of attribution science has been able to prove the direct correlation between climate change and specific disasters like drought, wildfires, and extreme heat. Climate scientists at the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) even have linked disasters to individual companies , some of which are state-owned like Saudi Aramco.
