I feel like climatechange is going to have to get worse before it gets better. Climatechange has been a big, scary, looming problem for basically the entirety of my life; I cannot remember a time when it was not at least a background concern. This holiday season, I’m especially grateful for their tone of determination.
Reforming the international multilateral lending architecture to be fairer and more aligned with climate and sustainabledevelopment objectives is also critical. Now, what’s desperately needed are new funding commitments from countries to help meet the significant and growing needs as the climate crisis worsens.
People can no longer deny climatechange must be addressed. Many lawmakers acknowledge that their constituents are being hammered by climate impacts, and they see the world around them changing.
