One reason to save energy is to limit carbonemissions from the energy we use. But energy conservation is important for reasons that go beyond the direct effect on emissions. If we switch to renewables, we won’t need to worry about saving energy.
A lot has been written about the efforts of universities to clean up their own carbonemissions. I couldn’t find anything that simply listed sustainability or environmental studies colleges, let alone assessing them in a systematic way.
