Their study examined the carbon dioxide and methane emissions from these companies’ products, as well as from the extraction and production processes of the largest gas, oil and coal producers and cement manufacturers. They obviously include climate change, but it also include health impacts from air pollution and water pollution.

On August 14, CNX Resources issued a press release announcing the preliminary results of air emissions monitoring at 14 sites it said "indicate that CNX natural gas development poses no public health risk." Eleven of the sites were monitored for as little as just four weeks up to 24 weeks or less.

On February 17, the Clean Air Council and the Environmental Integrity Project sent a letter to the Department of Environmental Protection urging the state to temporarily halt operations at a Shell plastics chemical plant in Beaver County that has repeatedly violated air pollution limits and recently released plumes of black smoke for several hours.

The minority report largely summarizes testimony presented to the Task Force about the only potential site for a natural gas LNG plant identified so far and that is in Chester, Delaware County.
