Despite huge advances in nuclear technology in recent decades, everyone still thinks about the accidents that occurred at older reactors like Chernobyl , Three Mile Island or Fukushima. Currently, the operation of a hydrogen pipeline involves oversight by various federal agencies and a patchwork of federal statutes and regulations. The draft guidance proposes a transitional period for phasing in hourly matching, whereby annual matching would be allowed for electricity generated before January 1, 2028.
