While industry tried to paint hydrogen combustion engines as a “bridge” technology to hydrogen fuel cells, their own presentations undermined that very point—instead, this path is a clear dead end. We need to make sure regulators like EPA and CARB restrict its usage before it gains a fossil-fueled foothold in the marketplace.

Now that California has taken the lead and set a goal for all passenger vehicles sold in the state to be electric by 2035, the next logical step is electrifying medium- and heavy-duty vehicles. In other words, between now and 2027, we will collectively install as much wind power and solar pv capacity than we did in the past twenty years, or 2,400 GW. By 2025, renewables will be the largest source of electricity in the world, taking over coal. These are great news as both solar and wind slash the need for fossil gas and coal.
