The city is reducing water pressure through Christmas to force people to conserve. The Associated Press reports that the environment commissioner in Maine suspended a permit for a high-voltage electricity transmission line intended to cross the state. That amounts to 13 gallons daily for drinking, bathing, cooking, and doing laundry.
