Climate Litigation in Japan: What to Expect in 2025

In the 2021 update to its Nationally Determined Contribution, under the Paris Agreement Japan pledged to reduce its GHG emissions by 46 % by 2030 compared to its 2013 levels (with aspirational target of 50%) and to achieve net-zero GHG emissions by 2050.
