Those harms will worsen rapidly as global warming emissions, primarily from burning fossil fuels, increase. Back in 2007, the Supreme Court reached a landmark judgment in Massachusetts et al.

In other words, the claim shows a lack of knowledge and is a well-known old argument that I commented on Realclimate.org in 2007. While temperatures provide a measure of the Earth’s climate, it is even better to use the global sea level , which provides a far more reliable measure. See for instance Benestad (2016).
