Since 2004, the program has been supported by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Become one of the Tree Tenders® restoring and tending your part of the forest. Since 1993 PHS has trained over 4,500 Tree Tenders in 150 Pennsylvania neighborhoods. Nearly 3,000 additional Tree Tenders have since been trained.
